Bespoke Bauhaus Era Bedside Cabinets, Germany, c.1930
Exquisite bespoke pair of bedside cabinets commissioned by a German family in the 1930s. Very Walter Gropius in style, the pair are impeccably made featuring a herringbone veneer inside and out and superb turned drawer handles. By design only one of the cabinets is enclosed by a door, both feature inlaid glass tops and pull out trays.
Dimensions (cm, approx):
Height: 80
Width: 72
Depth: 63
Both cabinets are in good condition for their year with minor veneer loss on inconspicuous surfaces and sun bleaching the worst of their indiscretions.
