A small ceramic jug by German ceramicist Richard Uhlemeyer (1900-1954). Glazed with shades of black, red and green and with hand carved crackle detailing.
Richard Uhlemeyer was born in Göttingen, Germany, and attended the Hanover arts and crafts school in the 1920s. In the 1930s he founded his pottery studio the 'Kunsthandwerk Richard Uhlemeyer' which gained national acclaim.
