Untitled Sculpture by Robert Clatworthy RA (1928 - 2015)

£900

A large-scale abstract wooden sculpture by British artist Robert Clatworthy RA (1928–2015). Tall and slender, the work has a strongly vertical, almost architectural presence, its irregular modelling characteristic of Clatworthy’s direct and expressive approach to form. Clatworthy was a significant figure in post-war British sculpture. He studied under Bernard Meadows, worked as an assistant to Henry Moore and taught alongside a generation that included Anthony Caro, Elisabeth Frink and Eduardo Paolozzi.
