A vintage, chromed tubular steel and bungee cord Sandows chair, designed by Rene Herbst in the 1920's.

A late 20th Century production these chairs were first shown to the public at the Paris Salon d'Automne des Artistes Decorateurs in 1929. The design was inspired by bungee cords which were used at the time for wrapping parcels.
